Table Tennis: Indu Puri to lead TTFI ad-hoc committee

Eight-time national champion and one of India's earlier table tennis stars, Indu Puri, was named as the chairperson of the ad-hoc committee to run the daily affairs of Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI).The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) formed a three-member ad-hoc committee via an order issued on September 17.Indu Puri, 73, will be joined .This development comes a month after the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports suspended the TTFI for governance failures.The IOA noted that the ad-hoc committee was formed in consultation with the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).The committee, appointed for a duration of six months, will look after day to day operations of the TTFI whilst also reviewing the federation's governance framework and constitution.
