Anahat and Gilis were facing each other for the first time. World No. 42 Ramit is yet to register a win against ElShorbagy, who holds a 4-0 head-to-head record against the Indian. Earlier, Veer Chotrani faced a first round exit, losing to Yannick Wilhelmi in straight games.
