Delhi Half Marathon route has minor refinements because of safety measures

The Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon orgsers on Wednesday announced there will be "minor refinements" to the route for Sunday's race, and the Open 10K event will start from the Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium instead of Sansad Marg, which has witnessed massive protests against the Election Commission in the past few days. Procam International, the race orgsers, said the decision was taken after considering the "safety and experience" of the runners. "With race day almost here, preparations continue in close coordination with the relevant authorities. Every decision centres on the safety and experience of our runners and the wider community," the orgsers said in a statement. The orgsers posted the timings for all five races that make up the grand event, including the 21km half marathon that will start at 5.30 am "subject to change based on government approval."
