Addressing a public meeting in Liaquat Bagh here on Sunday, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said that Jamaat-e-Islami workers thwarted all the administration's tactics in the way of the meeting. Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said when the nation rejects the rulers, they are put in power through Form 47. Criticising the government, he said that the current rulers can neither provide health nor any facilities to the nation. This mafia can only punish the people, not provide relief. The rulers are giving the people petrol bombs and inflation, while Shehbaz Sharif is only being used to increase inflation. He said that this system of oppression must be changed and the rulers must be removed, adding at the beginning of the Jamaat-e-Islami sit-in, it was said that the workers would leave soon, but today Liaquat Bagh is full and sit-ins are ongoing in different cities of the country. People in different areas including Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta and Chitral are connected to the sit-ins. He said Jamaat-e-Islami is a peaceful party and believes in peaceful struggle. We have no personal agenda. We do not engage in politics of personality or nepotism. The problems of the people must be solved, otherwise the rulers will not be able to handle the situation on the call of the long march, he warned.
